I am trying to set up Classic Phone Tools bundled with a D-Link 562IS internal modem. It will pickup a double ring voice call, but not a triple ring fax call. The modem is detecting both distinctive rings. Ideally I would like to pick up just triple rings, but can live with picking up everything. If there is a file/instruction fix..... is there any reason that it can't be downloaded from the BVRP website

Have you tried setting up the Distinctive ringing and it is not detecting that ring, or have you not set up Distinctive ringing and it is not getting that ring? Does the program show an incoming call on that ring?

I have a US Robotics V.92 PCI Faxmodem that I have tried to setup in the Classic Phone Tools 4.35 and evaluation version of Phone Tools eXPert v 8.00 with the distinctive ring. This is running on Windows XP Home attached to a Lexmark X3350 printer.

The Default Ring is set to Default Setting which I cannot change. Distinctive Ring 1 is set to Manual and Ring 2 set to Fax. When someone dials my regular phone number they get the fax tones and when they dial the smart ring number it goes to the fax tones.

I would like it to only respond to Ring 2 as that appears to work for both products.
