I've just installed Fax Tools that came with my Lexmark X1180 printer and I connect to the Internet via a Belkin ADSL modem router. I can't seem to get the software to find the modem. It only seems to detect the internal modem which I no longer use. I am running Win XP. Have I installed it wrong, or does it not work on this type of set up. Having tried to send a fax I now continually get a 'wave' sound every few minutes.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

The version of our software that you currently use does not support faxing directly with your DSL modem, however if you still have an analog modem installed in your PC, you should still be able to get it to work fine. Typically you will need to have a filter plugged into the analog modem and we do have a document on our website outlining how it needs to be hooked up so please take a look if you are running into any problems since getting DSL: www.bvrpusa.com/download/documentation/DSL_Setup.pdf

We do offer two software packages, FaxTools eXpert and PhoneTools eXPert that allow you to fax over the internet with DSL.

FaxTools eXPert
14-day trial version available on our website!

You can use promotion code tech97 to get a 15% discount off of either of those or on any software purchase from our website.
