Hello:

Hi, I have an old Gateway PC that came with Classic Phone tools 2.11c . I have a new modem card that is installed by Win 98SE, but not recognised by your fax software. There are no other drives listed that I could try other than the OEM Aztec driver long gone. I need to know if you have the wmodem.dat file for my modem and was wondering if you could email it to me at rwolf@pophost.com.
thanks for any help

HSP-56 MicroModem

No, I do not have driver that will work in the Gateway version of Phonetools for that modem. You will need to purchase the Classic Phonetools 6 or one of the Expert program to get drivers for that modem. you can purchase that on our website www.bvrp.com. You can use promotion code tech97 to get a 15% discount off of either of those or on any software purchase from our website.

Thanks for the fast response.

I mis-spoke. The original PC was not a Gateway, it was a -- Dell Dimension -- Does that help my situation using the older version of Classic Phone Tools? I appreciate your checking for me.

Thanks,

-Robert

Its the same issue. The Dell and Gateway versions are only meant to work with the modems that they ship. You will need to purchase a version to get drivers for that modem.
