I have changed modems under WinXP Pro and cannot get the program to recognize my smartlink 56k V90 faxmodem although it is listed in the compatible list.
I get the message to select it from the list in winmodems.dat but it's not listed. I have the install disk for it but your program cannot find what it needs there.
The updates tab on your homepage is no help.
Will you?

What did the 2.28 originally come with?

It came with a faulty USR modem

That version is only going to function with US Robotics modems. You will need to purchase Classic Phonetools or the Faxtools Expert to get a program that will operate with that modem.
