Phone Tools 2.17 - - Faxing Problem

I have an OEM version of Phone Tools v 2.17. I suppose it came with WinME several years back. I do not believe I have ever used the software. I have now upgraded to WinXP and am trying to use this software to send a fax. I can step through the process of setting up the fax and attaching the PDF, but when I attempt to send the fax, a warning comes up telling me that I must first set up a printer. Naturally, I have gone into the configuration and set up my printer. But I get the same error.

Are there any patches or updates to this program that I can install to upgrade it to work with XP?

What did this version come with?
