I need help PLease i tried everything!!!1

Im using the Lexmark X1100. I have HCF 56k PCI Modem. Im using Windows me. Windows me operateing system.

I having problem sending faxes. I keep getting transmission timeout. I tried it like 3 times i have reinstall the product. I have also set up the communcation. I have made sure that the right modem is selected please help

try this:

In Windows 98/Me:
Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Modems. Highlight your modem, click the Remove button and reboot. Upon restart your modem will automatically reinstall itself.

Hello im the above user I tried what you told me it worked then it starting acting up agian

Lets try reinstalling TAPI to see if that helps.

1. Click Start, Find, Files or Folders and where it says named type in telephon.ini , make sure it is looking in the C: Drive and click the Find Now button. When the file appears below, right-click on the filename and left-click rename. Rename the file telephon.001.

2. Click Start, Find, Files or Folders and where it says named type in tapiini.exe , make sure it is looking in the C: Drive and click the Find Now button. When the files appears below, double-click it, nothing will apear to happen (thats OK). Then restart your computer.
