doesn't give me option to apply to ring tone

I uploaded the sound successfully, however it doesn't give me the option to apply that sound as a ring tone. It automatically sends the sound file to Media Gallery/Sounds on my phone menu. I can play it on there that's about it. I would like to make them part of my ring tone any suggestions? On the program it provides me with all the folders that my phone has but however it doesn't give me the choice to choose the ringtone folder just automatically sends it to my media gallery.

Please help

i'm sorry i forgot to mention that i have a razr v3c
and i'm using the lastest Motorola PhoneTools 4.0
