View Full Version : VGA theme thumbs are partial

Hi,

I have a VGA device, and the VGA themes are not showing fully in the thumbnails in the PPC application. In other words, the thumbnail shows only part of the theme (possibly 1/4th of it) and not the whole thing. What is the problem? Is PTM2 not VGA compatible?

Thanks

To assist in answering your question in a timely manner, it is helpful to post the following information when you ask a question:

1. What version of our software are you using? This can typically be found by clicking Menu(s), Help, About <Product Name>.

2. What operating system are you using? E.g., Windows XP SP1, Windows 98 SE. This can normally be found by right-clicking 'My Computer' and left-clicking properties and it will be listed under the System section on the General tab.

3. Details of the issue including any error messages, e.g, "When I try to install it keeps stating 'Please insert disk 1'."

4. Scenarios under which the issue occurs, e.g., "I can normally send faxes, but cannot to the 310 area code."

5. How did you receive the software? E.g., received with a Dell A920 printer, received with a Dell Dimension 8400, received with a US Robotics Fax Win INT modem, purchased at www.bvrpusa.com, purchased a box at Fry's, etc...

6. Your e-mail address is also helpful should we need to send you a file or download link.

You are kidding, right?

What faxes, what area code?? What are you people talking about??? What printers and Dell Dimensions??? This is the Pocket Theme Manager forum, which is a PPC software, is this not correct??

I hope this was an automated reply of some sort. Either way, it's pretty lame.

My question was very simple and clear, I think. I am using the latest version of PTM2 and the thumbnails of the themes the PPC app displays do not show the whole theme, just 1/4th of it (the top-left 1/4th). To me it seems like PTM2 (the PPC version, at least) is not VGA compatible. Is that the case or not?

Thanks for the (human) reply in advance.

I apologize, but I still need to know what OS you have on the Pocket PC? Pocket Theme Manager 2 is compatible with all the Pocket PC using Pocket PC 2002 or Pocket PC 2003, Phone Edition 2002 or 2003.

I am researching if the program is VGA compatible.

No the Pocket Theme manager is not VGA compatible.

Thanks.

My next question, then, is if there are any plans to make it vga compatible in a future version. I really like the software and it's a shame it doesn't support high-res devices. Do you guys have any plans to update it in the future for such devices?

Thanks again.

There is nothing in the works at this time.

I too am very disappointed that I cannot get a better looking image on my HP hx4705. I have the best PDA display available today, but I cannot take advantage of the size and clarity. It seems like it should be a fairly simple code change to accomodate 640 x 480 resolution. Please tell us you are reconsidering incorporating 640 x 480 support to this otherwise great product!
