View Full Version : Inability to receiving FAX with Vonage VOIP Service

-My Classic phone tool 4.2 version is an Dell Dimension 4600i EOM.
- My modem is Conexant SmartHSFi V92 56K Speakerphone (1/1)
-OS is windows XP professional (5.01.2600) SP2

I have signed recently with Vonage VOIP phone service, I could successively send Fax through my Classic phone tool but the system is not receiving any FAX. I would appreciate your help in any recommendation to set up the communication between my system and Vonage, or if you have any update that would synchronize the classic phone tools and the Vonage VOIP service.

Yes I'm able to send a Fax over the vonage Service

PS. I'm new in this forum, I do not know if this reply will reach Support_MS. Thanks for help

Try this:

1. With all programs closed go to Start
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Go to Phone and Modem options (it might be under Printers and Other Hardware)
4. Go to the modem tab
5. Remove all modems listed there
6. Close everything and restart your computer (when windows comes back up it should reinstall the modem)
7. Once the modem is reinstalled Open Classic Phonetools
8. Go to configure in the bottom left
9. Go to General Setup or General Configuration
10. Go to the Communication Tab
11. Click on Change modem
12. Go through to Configuration wizard to reidentify the modem.
