Creating Animated Themes using PTM

What is the *exact* process for creating animated themes using PTM? I would like a step-by-step guide if possible. I have tried multiple times, and I always end up with a theme that just gives me a blank white Today screen and nothing else - no background image, no animation.

So what is the solution?

I do not have any instructions for creating an animated theme actually. I do know that animation needs to be created as a Macromedia Flash Movie.
