I am trying to create ringtones for my Samsung SGH-X475. I have Ringtone Media Studio 1.0.4 and I'm running it on Windows XP Home with all the updates. I use EasyGPRS to transfer images and tones to my phone via USB data cable.

The only ringtone file type supported by my phone and software is .mmf files. The software will not allow me to save it in that format.

Please help.

Ringtone Media Studio only supports CD audio, mp3, wav, amr, and smaf formats.

According to Samsung my phone supports the use of smaf files and as you stated in your reply Ringtone Media Studio will save to this kind of format as well. BUT when I attempt to save a ringtone I created it only gives me the optoin to output to a wav, mp3 amr or adp file format.

How do I save it to a smaf format?

You can not save in a SMAF format, you have to transfer dirrectly to the phone for that format.
