Setup crashes, PbkInstall._GetBookNames

BVRP Classic Phone Tools was bundled with a modem. However, installation crashes with an Unhandled Exception.
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description Dll function call crashed: PbkInstall._GetBookNames

The operating system is Win2K. What do I need to do?

That error indicates that you have Outlook 2003. you will need to uninstall Outlook 2003 to get the Classic Phonetools installed.

So... once I uninstall Outlook 2003, what do I use instead or can I reinstall it after the modem is installed?

Depending on the Version of Classic Phonetools you should be able to reinstall Outlook. Do you know which version of Classic Phonetools you have?

If it would install, it would be easier to tell which version it is. It was bundled with the modem OD-IM-100 and the CD says version 1.0

Most likely the is version 4.01, that version will not function if you reinstall Outlook 2003.
