The V3 requires a standard computer USB cable, so I had a few before buying the phone. When I connect the phone to my computer, windows recognizes it as RazrV3 but beyond that there is no action taken.
Is it possible to download the transfer software off of your website (or anywhere) without needing to buy a whole separate program or cable?
Thank you.

No we do not sell the transfer software Seperately, it only comes with the cables.

I'm new to this ringtones process, and also new to the idea of transferring data between a cell phone and PC, but what's up with this? No where on your packaging for Ringtone Studio does it say that you need "Transfer Software" if using a data cable. I, too, have a data cable for my Motorola V180, but not the software. So now I would have to fork out more money if I want this capability of transferring between phone and PC??!! What a rip off! I've already opened and installed Ringtone Studio (that I purchase on 2/3/06) on my PC, so I can't take it back to the retail store, and I really wasn't planning on spending any more money on additional software that was never mentioned as a requirement on the Ringtone Studio box.
This is ridiculous!!

Our research indicates that the cables for phones ship with drivers and software which is why we specifiy a cable connection is required. This is one the side of the box, under system requirements. The Ringtone Media Studio is meant as an editing program for Ringtones and Images. The transfer capability is only added for Bluetooth and infrared.
Did your cable come with software? Where did you get your cable? Do you have any information about the cable that you can e-mail me so we can determine what transfer software you should have and help get you it?
E-mail that information to forums@bvrpusa.com .
